Our success is built on the quality of our people.
The best way to tell you about the Bellcom Community is through
one of the team. Will McGregor, Inside Sales Rep,
tells you about his experiences of working for Bellcom: -
I have been working at Bellcom for almost four years and it has
been an experience to say the least. Working at Bellcom has
helped me to learn things I would never have learned and experience
things in a workplace, which I would have thought would never
happen.
Now let me explain. When I considered starting in a
contact centre, I thought (as most people do) that it would be a
temporary thing and I would be here no more than six months.
Four years on I'm still here.
The reason for this is the culture. It is much more than a
workplace, it is a family of people and you can really feel that
day to day.
Just a few of the things that set Bellcom apart are the Awards
Ceremonies, The Bellcom Apprentice and Boot Camp.
Awards Ceremonies take place each
quarter. It does not matter if you work in Support,
Management or on the phone you are always recognised and rewarded
for a job well done. This includes team and individual
prizes, from trips to Barcelona to gorge walking in the
Cairngorms.
The Bellcom Apprentice is exactly like the TV
show. People within the company apply and 12 or so are
selected and placed into two teams. Each team has a task to
complete, which leads to someone being fired from the
competition.
What is brilliant about this is it gives people who want to move
through the ranks an avenue to do so. It gets you to utilise
your team management and work skills.
Personally and creatively this pushed me out my comfort zone
many times. This allowed me to grow in more ways than I can
mention. Even though winning can lead to development
opportunities within Bellcom, almost all who have been in The
Apprentice have been promoted in someway.
Bellcom Boot Camp is a chance to get out the
office and get mucky! This is an outdoor teambuilding day in
which you're given numerous problem solving scenarios, arts and
crafts and a lot of horseplay (literally!!).
Again it is a wonderful way for your "unseen talent" to be
noticed. You build stronger working relationships and get a
chance to see a different side to your team members.
Explaining the Bellcom culture does not really give it
justice. If I could give you one piece of advice it would be
COME AND TRY IT FOR YOURSELF!
